Recognizing the breast cancer results in death for African-American women at nearly double the rate of white women, Alpha Kappa Alpha members will observe Breast Cancer Awareness Day during nationally-recognized Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Breast Cancer Awareness Day aims to raise awareness about the disease and raise funds for research into causes, diagnosis, prevention, treatment and cure. Phi Nu Omega, Psi Rho Omega, and Nova Women&#39;s Network are collaborating to bring awareness to breast cancer by walking 30-miles, The proceeds from the virtual breast cancer walk-a-thon will be donated to Nanci&#39;s Gift a 501.3(c). <br />The 30 mile Breast Cancer walk-a-thon: For Nanci&#39;s Gift will launch on October 4, 2021- October 31, 2021.
