 Psi Rho Omega Scholarship Program



Mission
To forge partnerships through scholarships,

We Offer Three Types of Scholarships:

  1. Need-Based - Second Chance Scholarship provides financial aid for female students of African/African-American descent who are 25 years old or older, and residents of Loudoun County, Virginia.  Applicants must believe a higher education will benefit their life and goals.  This scholarship is dedicated to getting women back to school.
  2. The Community Merit-Based - Psi Rho Omega Merit Scholarship is awarded to a high school Senior of African/African-American descent who resides in Loudoun County, Virginia and attends a Loudoun County High School, or a non-Loudoun County High School.  The student must be enrolled in an accredited institution of higher learning in the fall immediately following graduation. 
  3. Endowment Merit-Based - Pearls of Loudoun Scholarship is awarded to a college student who is a Sophomore or higher and is a current or former resident of Loudoun County Virginia. APPLY NOW

There are many websites with information that may prove useful to you in your search for scholarships and financing higher education, including Scholarships.com.  The below resources are provided by the U.S. Department of Education, which oversees federal efforts to help students in all aspects of preparing for and attending college.


UNCF is the nation's largest and most effective minority education organization.  UNCF manages multiple scholarship programs and advocates locally and nationally for the importance of education and college readiness. 

 

AKA Educational Advancement Foundation (EAF) Opportunities

EAF is a source of support to graduate students, post freshman students, and non-profit organizations serving diverse beneficiaries. 

In addition to the resources provided above, the attached document below provides many additional great resources for college bound students.
 
All of these tools are an excellent way to ensure that you're making the most of your online search.  Remember to start your research early as many scholarships have early deadlines.  We recommend you begin in your junior year of high school or at the beginning of the year you will be graduating high school/entering college.
